What Is School Site Council?
Mt. Everest Academy's School Site Council (SSC) is a decision making body made up of members of the school's community. This group is responsible for reviewing the school's improvement plan and allocating fiscal resources to support Mt. Everest Academy's goals in the areas of curriculum development and instruction. The State Legislature, as well as the Mt. Everest Academy teaching staff and administration, believes that the best decisions are made by those individuals who are most affected by them. Therefore, the School Site Council consists of elected members representing parents, teachers, students, the school principal, and other school employees, each of whom serve a 2-year term.
Meetings
The SSC and SGT will meet a minimum of seven times during the year, and meetings will usually be scheduled on Wednesdays from 2pm-3pm. Please check the School Calendar for upcoming meetings.

SITE GOVERNANCE TEAM (SGT)
What Is Site Governance Team?
The Governance Team is a shared decision making body required at each school by the San Diego Unified School District Board of Education. The teams meets regularly to discuss issues, gather input and make recommendations about topics affecting our school and our children. The team includes parents, teachers, classified staff, and the principal. The agendas are available for public review and the meetings are open to the public. Parents are welcome to call parent members with questions and concerns to be brought to the team. For more information, contact the office.
